"Homecoming"

Hello to all. It is now time for my week in review. Green Days, cracked walnuts, German cousins, and busting a move were all things involved with my week. So let’s get started, shall we.

Well, this past Tuesday, a lot of good things happened. Green Day’s newest CD, entitled Warning, was released. Of course being a Green Day fan, I bought it on the release date. I must say, it is an awesome CD. I love it. In fact, I’m listening to it right now. Also, I was informed I was getting a semi-promotion at the golf course. I will now be switching back in forth from working outside in the cart barn to working inside in the pro shop. Whoohoo!!!! That is also awesome. When the summer starts, I believe I’ll be in the pro shop full time. Yippee. On Wednesday, I began training my replacement. He’s a good worker. A lot better than good ole April.

Also on Wednesday, my uncle who lived in Germany flew back home. He’s going to be staying with my grandparents for about 3 weeks then he’s moving to Virginia. Along with him, he brought his wife and her daughter. Her daughter does not speak a whole lot of English. She can speak German pretty well but that doesn’t do us much good. It’s funny, my family still try to talk to her in English. Oh well.

Friday (yesterday) was Homecoming for our school. It was pretty cool. We only had to go to 3 classes and the rest of the day we were free to run around. I was involved in the Battle of the Bands they held. It was pretty fun even though the band members forgot my instrument I was supposed to play. So instead, I ran onto the stage and had Feebs, the security guard for the Nutcrackers, chase me around the stage. We also had “Fat Carl” throw down some walnuts and crush them. Jesse’s sister accidentally chucked a walnut at someone in the crowd. Now it’s all fun and games until someone loses an eye, then it’s just fun and games you can’t see. We didn’t win but we had fun. A bunch of people yelled at me to do a cartwheel on the stage. I gave in and did it. I’m such a weakling to peer pressure. Remember my concussion incident. Dustin uses me as an example of when peer pressure goes bad. It’s good that I set an example.

Of course on Homecoming night, you have the mandatory dance. It was fun. I went with the object of my affection, Sheena. We had a good time. Even though I don’t like the kind of music they played, I still “busted a move” and “got giggy wit it.” I was all dressed up for it to. I had the tie and even broke out the dress shoes. I was a hottie. Right, anyways, today was the first real cold day I’ve had to work. It was freaking freezing outside today. It was cloudy and cold, and I didn’t like it. Right now, though, I’m in the warmth of my own home typing away. Well, it’s time for me to go so I’m gone.
